At Powell Rods, we stand behind the quality, craftsmanship, and performance of every rod we build. Since 1910, our mission has remained the same: build premium fishing rods without compromise and support the anglers who trust them on the water.To ensure fast and accurate processing, all warranty claims must follow the physical mail-in verification process outlined below.

Original Owner Warranty Policy

Powell Rods warranties apply to the original owner only.
Proof of purchase may be required for all warranty claims.
To activate warranty coverage, all rods including gifts and warranty replacements must be registered through Powell Rods Product Registration.

Important: We do not accept warranty claims via email, online forms, or photo uploads. All warranty claims must be submitted by physical mail.

Warranty & Support

A $100 replacement fee applies to the following rod series:

  • Endurance
  • Platinum Endurance
  • Naked
  • All Fly Rods
  • Legacy MAX Models
  • MAX 3D Models

Exclusions

The replacement fee program does not apply to:

  • Inferno
  • Diesel
  • Nuisance
  • Mistake Series

Standard Warranty Claims

Accidental Damage / Replacement Program

For standard replacement claims:

  • Mail the 8-inch Powell Rod logo section from the damaged rod
  • The logo section must remain one solid, unaltered piece
  • Sections cut into multiple pieces or altered will void the claim
  • Replacement rods will be the same model whenever available
  • If unavailable, Powell Rods reserves the right to provide the closest comparable replacement

Fly Rod Warranty Claims

Fly rods are replaced as complete units only.

The replacement fee for fly rods is $100, and replacement models will be fulfilled with a Legacy XL 4-piece fly rod.

Standard Warranty Claims

Payment: Include either a check or your credit card information with your warranty claim submission. If payment information is not provided, our team will contact you once the claim has been received.

Manufacturer Defect Claims

If you believe your rod contains a manufacturer defect:

  • Mail the entire rod for inspection
  • Include proof of purchase
  • All rods must be physically inspected before defect claims can be approved
